Kanstuna: “There are many English academies in the Philippines. However, there are only a few academies that organize good school trips. In my opinion, maybe none of the academies organize team building as well as 3D Academy as it was really very well executed and fun. I met a lot of new friends and we got an excellent chance to practice English throughout the trips.”
Momoko: “At first, I thought it was a normal weekend trip but I was wrong. It was totally different from other trips. It was fantastic”.
Koh: “3D academy is the best. I will definitely join 3D school trip again because I had never laughed so hard. At the same time, I exercised and practiced English a lot”.
These are the feedbacks from 3D students who joined the 3D school trip – team building last weekend. Thank you all for joining 3D school trip. I am Edward, the organizer of the 3D school trip. I was very happy when I heard the positive feedbacks from the students and I want to thank 3D Academy for allowing me to organize this trip.
We live in an environment where people have less active outdoor activities in their daily routines. A lot of us would sit whole day surfing the internet, watching YouTube or streamed videos online. Our physical bonds get lesser and lesser, and as a result, it becomes quite difficult for us to open our minds to strangers. 3D Academy always supports and encourage activities that bring students closer together. We are striving to create the best English environment for students to practice English every day.
Today, I want to share with you about our last school trip – “One team, one mission”.
What to expect?
Dinner on the beach
A FUNtastic island adventure
A weekend filled with drinks, mini game show
Making a team to win 1,500 pesos
Time and destination
Date: March 25 – 26 (1 night, 2 days)
Place: Medellin, Cebu and FUNtastic island
Only 3,000 pesos for all meals, night BBQ party, mini game show (for the opportunity to win 1,500 pesos from first prize) zip-line, sky bike and Cable car.
This journey was joined by 20 adventurers, including teachers, interns, and students. At 8:30 am, we gathered in front of the 3D main gate building and loaded activity equipment onto the van off to the venue – Medellin city. 3D rented two vans for us. At first, I was wondering why do we need two vans while the one van is enough. Along the journey, I started appreciating this arrangement a lot. We need to sit in the van for around 4 hours. Due to the extra space we had, we did not feel tired or uncomfortable. We could sleep easily after talking and sharing about our students lives here. Then I thought, “OMG! 3D rented two vans just to make sure that we are in the most comfortable condition during the long trip. If we only had one van, it could be noisy and uncomfortable. For this, a big kudos to 3D Academy!
We arrived at the resort in Medellin at 11:30 am. What a beautiful and quiet island! There is a long beach with crystal clear water. You could easily spot turquoise from the blue water from afar. The small waves cracked the peaceful vibes from time to time along the shoreline. The sun shines brightly with the soothing breeze that is keeping you cool. This a such a picturesque summer getaway.
We had lunch in the small hut by the sea. Excited with the place and the lunch, we couldn’t get tired of chit-chatting and sharing with each other about life, experiences, and love. The rushing waves provided a soothing vibe to our lunch.
We arrived at FUNTASTIC ISLAND at 3 pm. The sparkling water, the shimmering powdery white sand, the wide blue sky, the jaw-dropping majestic sunrise, the postcard-perfect backdrop, and the gorgeous beach greeted us warm-heartedly. The more we explored the Philippines, the more we sense the beauty of this place. (Editor’s note: 3D life is very exciting. Come here and join with us)
And these are pictures of sunset on the beach.
Everyone falls in love with the picturesque beach easily
At 8:30 pm, we had BBQ, drinking party and mini team building event.
I shall present to you our teams – Thank team, F4 team, L+P team and SMKY team. The 4 teams with one mission will fire off each other with English. We played 5 games to decide the winner team who would walk away with 1,500 pesos. It is a small prize, but it was enough for us to put in our best to win. The first game name was “who are you?”. The second was “wet or not”. The third was “Hopping with your team”. Fourth was “Jumping my team” and the last game was “long line”. We enjoyed these games so much together and therefore we forgot to take pictures. Sorry for not having many games, pictures to show. We yelled and danced constantly to cheer our team. We were wet. We fell down. We stood up. We laid down. We were like kids playing together (Ahh.. Childhood memories strike). In the end, the winner team just shared the prize with another team. We did not care about the prize because we had unforgettable memories together. We couldn’t tell you about the games we played because it is our little secret and our sweet memories of this beautiful island. **wink**
