Chapter 15: Wolf bite’s bliss in IT Park

untitled-1-01-3

It was dark all over the park. I was afraid because we were walking on the street after midnight. For your information, fear always stays inside me. That’s why I cannot stop looking back every minute when I walk into a deserted street. I always imagined someone was behind me in the park. Usually, I’m not paranoiac, but that thing was just giving me goose bumps. I closed my eyes and continued to go ahead. One minute later, I heard some groans. It sounded familiar. OMG! A wolf was behind me ready to finish my pathetic student’s life. All of a sudden, when I opened my eyes, a smile appeared on my face. As a matter of fact, the noise I heard earlier in the park was caused by the music played in the night market of IT Park. Ahooooo!! If you are not familiar with that area of Cebu, let me tell you what you are missing. So, for this time, Uncle Nathan’s post will focus on the bliss he felt when going to IT Park where he discovered an unreal environment.

Personally, I love night markets and everything about it. I’m always excited when it comes to going to the night market. Firstly, don’t get confused about words. Commonly, when you mention night market, people will automatically think about a cheap place for shopping. Halo! Halo! Night market in Cebu City is only about food. I’m serious and don’t think for an instant that’s about raw food and vegetables. IT Park night market in Cebu is all about delicious food and restaurants located at the same place for the happiness of food lovers like me. Hallelujah!

If you are a 3D student, just bear in mind that the night market is not far from the school. Lovely! Only 15 minutes on foot. It is convenient. Isn’t it? You don’t have to sweat at all, babe! Just take enough money with you and let’s follow the itinerary provided by our dear google maps. You can also take a taxi or a Jeepney if you are too tired. It won’t really cost you a fortune. Believe me, you won’t regret it. Nevertheless, you should remember that the market is only open on Saturday and Sunday.

Thirdly, the night market proposes to people various dishes. Therefore, it’s not because we are in the Philippines that you are condemned to eat Filipino food. Lol! Apart from that, you can enjoy cuisines from Vietnam, Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan and Europe as well. Yummy! Above all, everything in the night market is scrumptious, exquisite, mouth-watering, appetizing, delectable, flavorsome and toothsome. As you can see, there are so many words and photos below to describe the beauty of this gastronomic paradise. Order whatever you want and sit down somewhere between the stands. I advise you to rush for a place nearby the entry of the market because there is a stage with a band playing popular songs for your pleasure. Enjoy!!! By the way, the live music is free but not the food, of course. Nonetheless, nothing is especially expensive over there. Don’t panic! Don’t worry! Students can easily enjoy “Ramen” or Hot Sisig” without spending a lot of money too. Yay!!!

To sum it all up, I’m just a fearful dude. There was no wolf in the park. It was just my imagination playing tricks on me. I bought some local dishes, went before the podium to assist to the performances of some talented young singers. Laugh, animation, smell, colors and beautiful girls drove me crazy. I found a friend of mine and we drank beers all night. Oops! I want to say, we drank tomato juice together. Anyway, that was a perfect night had it not been that bite’s story. Seriously! Be aware of tomato juice! Don’t trust them! Don’t trust them! That day, I forgot what happened to me between then till early in the morning. It’s up to you to believe me or not but I got up with a strange bite on my neck. That’s all for this post. Stay tuned and remember one thing. If and only if you come to study English in 3D Academy, you will enjoy this wonderful night market. See you next week and don’t forget to look at your new vocabulary words below.
