Absolutely! In fact, many of our students at 3D ACADEMY are experiencing life abroad for the very first time. We understand that studying overseas can feel overwhelming—especially if you’re young, traveling alone, or don’t feel confident in your English skills yet. That’s why 3D ACADEMY offers a supportive, friendly, and safe environment that makes first-time travelers feel at home from the moment they arrive.
For your peace of mind, we offer a reliable airport pick-up service from Mactan-Cebu International Airport. A member of our staff will meet you at the airport holding a sign with your name. From there, you’ll be safely transported to the school or your designated accommodation. This is especially helpful for those arriving late at night or with heavy luggage.
On your first day at 3D ACADEMY, you’ll join our detailed orientation session. During this session, you’ll learn about school rules, meal times, safety tips, how to use facilities, and how to get help whenever you need it. You’ll also receive a welcome kit, school ID, and SIM card support if needed.
Orientation is conducted in English, but Japanese, Chinese, and Arabic-speaking staff are available to assist those who need translation or extra guidance.
Our teaching and support staff are well-trained to work with first-time travelers. Whether you’re unsure how to do your laundry, confused about local food, or just feeling homesick, our team is here to help. We provide 24/7 on-campus support through multilingual staff who are used to assisting students from various cultural backgrounds.
Living arrangements are simple and secure. Our school dormitories are cleaned regularly and offer options for solo or shared rooms. There’s 24-hour security at the entrance, and student curfews are enforced for added safety—especially for minors. You’ll have access to hot showers, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and meal service, all within walking distance from your classroom.
We understand that food can be a big concern when traveling for the first time. At 3D ACADEMY, we provide three nutritious meals daily, including dishes familiar to Japanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian students. We also adjust meals based on feedback, so you’re likely to find something you’ll enjoy—even if you’re picky or have food sensitivities.
Structure is key for students who are abroad for the first time. Our daily schedule includes one-on-one classes, optional group activities, and ample time for rest and socialization. Students are never left unsure about where to go or what to do. Staff are always on hand to guide you through your day.
On your first day, you’ll take a placement test to determine your current English ability. Based on your results, we’ll assign classes that suit your level—from complete beginner to advanced. Our 1-on-1 teaching method ensures that even shy or nervous students can learn comfortably at their own pace.
To help students adjust to life in the Philippines, we offer cultural activities every week—such as yoga, English movie nights, Zumba, or simple games in English. These activities create a fun way to meet people, practice conversation, and adjust to a new environment without pressure.
For students who are eager to explore, we organize regular weekend school trips to Cebu’s top tourist spots. These include teacher-guided adventures to beaches, waterfalls, and scenic islands. Everything is arranged by the school—including transportation and safety briefings—so even if it’s your first time traveling, you’re always supported.
If you’re under 18, rest assured that we have strict curfews, adult supervision, and security policies in place. Students under 18 are required to have parental consent for activities like weekend travel. If you go out after 8 PM, an adult must accompany you. These rules may sound strict, but they’re in place to protect you and give peace of mind to your parents.
Many students come alone and are nervous at first—but within days, they make friends. Since students come from countries like Japan, Vietnam, Korea, France, and Taiwan, English becomes the common language. This natural setting makes it easier to practice English and form international friendships.
Parents can receive updates on their child’s attendance, academic progress, or personal wellbeing. We encourage students and parents to maintain open communication, and we offer email or messenger channels for regular check-ins. Our staff also assists students who feel homesick or overwhelmed.
Yes, it is completely okay if this is your first time abroad. At 3D ACADEMY, we are dedicated to making your experience safe, smooth, and rewarding. You’ll be supported from the moment you land in Cebu until the day you graduate. We’ve helped thousands of first-time travelers before—and we’ll be here to help you too.

Beyond studying, 3D ACADEMY encourages students to grow through real-life experience. Weekly school events like Zumba, yoga, movie nights, and English games allow you to enjoy campus life while practicing English naturally. Every month, we also organize safe, affordable trips to famous spots in Cebu, like island hopping or whale shark watching. Teachers often join these trips, turning them into fun, immersive English activities.
Our flexible course options make it easy to start, even if you’re unsure how long you want to study. From one-week programs to six-month intensive courses, you can choose what works best for you. For first-time learners, we especially recommend Power Speaking 6 or 7 — perfect for building English skills through 1-on-1 classes at your own rhythm.
