Here is how your first few days work, from arriving at the dorm to the orientation on your first day of classes.
On a first study abroad trip, many people feel uneasy because they do not know what happens on arrival day and enrollment day. Reading this page will help you picture how that day will go.
| Category | Standard date | Things to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival | The Sunday right before the Monday of enrollment | If your flight makes it difficult to arrive on Sunday, arriving on Saturday is fine. If you arrive before 8:00 on Sunday, an extra pre-arrival night charge will apply (PHP 2,500 for a single room, including hotel-style dorm rooms; PHP 1,500 for all other rooms: 2-, 3-, 4- and 6-person rooms). |
| Departure | The Saturday right after your last day of classes | If your flight makes it difficult to leave on Saturday, leaving on Sunday is fine. If you keep using the room after 12:00 on Saturday, an extra late check-out charge will apply (PHP 2,500 for a single room, including hotel-style dorm rooms; PHP 1,500 for all other rooms: 2-, 3-, 4- and 6-person rooms). |
Sunday: arrival at the dorm and check-in | Monday: enrollment day (orientation / level test) | Tuesday to Friday: regular classes | Saturday and Sunday: free time | Friday of week 4: end of the course | The Saturday right after: departure
On the first Monday after you enroll (or Tuesday, if Monday is a holiday), the orientation and level test take place.

The first day of classes involves procedures and tests back to back, so it is normal to feel nervous. However, we always have Japanese staff on hand, so please feel free to ask us any question at any time.
