Yes, students at 3D ACADEMY are welcome to travel on weekends. We understand that exploring Cebu and its surrounding islands is a big part of the study abroad experience. However, there are important rules and procedures that must be followed, especially for underage students.
All students can travel on weekends, including those staying in dormitories or hotels. However, for students under 18 years old, there are additional safety and parental consent requirements.
Whether you’re planning a day trip to nearby beaches or an overnight stay in another island, it’s essential to follow the school’s travel protocols.
The Overnight Stay Form is a required document for any student who wishes to sleep outside the dormitory. It serves as a notice to the school and a confirmation of your safety. For minors, this form must be accompanied by a signed parental consent form, which is verified by school staff.
You must fill out the Overnight Stay Form during office hours on weekdays. Submit the form at the school office before your planned trip. Last-minute submissions may not be accepted, especially for minors.
Students may not use the Overnight Stay Form simply to return to the dorm late at night or after curfew. It is only for official overnight travel. Requests that appear to bypass curfew rules will be denied.
In the case of early-morning flights or late-night arrivals, you must provide official travel documents, such as your flight ticket or tour confirmation. This ensures the guard and staff can verify and accommodate your schedule accordingly.
If you are staying in a hotel dormitory (e.g., Prestigio, MIT) or commuting from outside the campus, you are not subject to the campus curfew. However, if you plan to miss weekday classes due to travel, it is still recommended that you submit the Overnight Stay Form for safety tracking.
Students under 18 years old must always have their parent or guardian’s approval before traveling overnight. The school takes extra measures to ensure the safety of minors. This includes:
Parents can stay informed through regular school updates and contact points (see: “How can parents stay informed?”).
While weekend travel is permitted, please note:
Students found skipping class without permission may receive a warning or attendance penalty.
Many students take school-organized weekend trips to places like Oslob, Moalboal, or Bohol. These are safe and well-managed by our staff. If you are planning a personal trip:
Your safety is our top priority. For that reason, we may contact students or guardians if any irregularity is reported. Travel that appears unsafe or unapproved may result in the student being asked to return immediately.
Please remember, even though you may be traveling, you are still a student of 3D ACADEMY and expected to follow our conduct and safety rules.

Yes! At 3D ACADEMY, all of our official school activities are designed not only for fun but also for active English learning. What makes our activities truly unique is that English teachers participate in every activity—from yoga and dance classes to school trips and community outreach. These interactions create a natural and enjoyable way to practice English in real-life situations.
Language learning doesn’t stop when class ends. We believe in full immersion, and our activities help students apply what they learn in the classroom to the real world. Whether it’s a Zumba dance session, a movie night, or a weekend trip to a beautiful island, students are constantly using English to communicate with teachers and fellow students.
Every school-organized activity includes at least one English teacher to guide the session, support communication, and encourage English usage. For example:
In activities like the monthly Outreach Program, students visit local orphanages with teachers and use English to play games, lead activities, and build relationships with local children. This helps develop not only language skills but also confidence, empathy, and cross-cultural communication.
Activities provide a relaxed environment where students feel more comfortable trying new words and phrases. Teachers are there not to test but to support—making sure students have the chance to speak naturally and learn through interaction.
These teacher-led activities are ideal for shy students or those who want to build more speaking confidence. With real-time feedback and encouragement, many students find that these moments become the highlight of their learning journey.
Whether you’re joining a weekend tour or an evening event, you’ll always find English teachers by your side—ready to help, chat, and guide you. That’s what makes 3D ACADEMY’s activity program so special!
